Privacy Policy

Bundelkhand Development Society (BDS), a non-governmental organization (NGO) committed to the sustainable development of the Bundelkhand region of India, recognizes the importance of protecting the privacy of its stakeholders, partners, and members. BDS has developed a comprehensive privacy policy that outlines its commitment to protecting the privacy of all individuals associated with its activities.

The privacy policy of BDS is based on the principles of transparency, accountability, and data protection. The policy sets out the types of personal information that BDS collects and how that information is used. It also explains the steps BDS takes to safeguard personal information and ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations.

BDS collects personal information from its stakeholders, partners, and members in order to carry out its activities, including but not limited to, fundraising, advocacy, research, and capacity building. The types of personal information that BDS collects may include names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, and other contact information.

BDS uses the personal information it collects for the purposes for which it was collected, as well as for other purposes that are reasonably related to those purposes. BDS will not disclose personal information to third parties unless it has obtained consent to do so, or if required to do so by law.

BDS takes all reasonable steps to safeguard personal information against loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification. BDS ensures that its staff and volunteers are aware of their responsibilities regarding data protection and are trained on how to handle personal information in accordance with the privacy policy.

BDS is committed to complying with all applicable data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Indian data protection laws. Individuals have the right to access, correct, or delete their personal information held by BDS. If an individual wishes to exercise any of these rights or has a complaint about how their personal information is being handled by BDS, they should contact BDS’s designated privacy officer.
